Eric used Visual C++ to automate laboratory test procedures on new component devices in order to speed up the production of these devices. As a result of the improved test procedures  time spent on testing has decreased by 68%.

Hilbert came up with a very good substitute vane material for vacuum pumps. This reduced the cost of these vanes by over 90%.
